Expert in ultrasound-guided PCNL (prone and supine), flexible nephroscopy, retrograde flexible and semirigid ureteroscopy, and laser lithotripsy. Manages complex cases such as bilateral staghorn stones, horseshoe kidney, and paediatric stone disease.
Laser Surgery
Certified Laser Safety Officer. Clinical use of Thulium fibre (TFL), Holmium, Diode, and Green Light lasers for prostate vaporesection, stone fragmentation, and endoscopic stricture incision.
Andrology
Completed Andrology Fellowship under Dr Vineet Malhotra, New Delhi (April 2025). Specialises in microscopic varicocele ligation, male infertility, and erectile dysfunction management.
Laparoscopy & Retroperitoneoscopy
Performs radical and simple nephrectomy, pyeloplasty, uretero-ureterostomy, and varicocele ligation using laparoscopic and retroperitoneoscopic techniques.
Prostate & Bladder Surgery
Experienced in Urolift, Rezume, and bipolar TURP for enlarged prostate. TURBT for bladder tumour. Medicated balloon dilatation (Optilume/Elutax) for urethral stricture. Also performs open buccal mucosa urethroplasty.

I am a Specialist Urologist with extensive experience in advanced urological care. Since 2009, I have been practising at NMC Specialty Hospital in Al Ain, UAE, where I serve as Head of the Urology Department, a member of the Quality Committee, and Laser Safety Officer. At NMC, I have performed more than 9,200 urology procedures. I am committed to delivering precise, safe, and patient-centred care, with a strong sense of responsibility towards every patient I treat.
My primary speciality is Endourology, with a focus on minimally invasive and complex stone surgeries. My surgical practice covers prone and supine PCNL, flexible nephroscopy, ureteroscopy, endopyelotomy, laser treatment of obstructions, laparoscopic and retroperitoneoscopic procedures, as well as prostate and bladder surgeries, urethral reconstruction, and microscopic varicocele operations. I have also managed highly complex cases involving bilateral staghorn calculi, paediatric stone disease, horseshoe kidneys, pelvic kidneys, and other technically challenging urological conditions.
My professional journey is founded on comprehensive surgical training. I completed my M.B.B.S., M.S. in General Surgery, and M.Ch. in Urology at B.J. Medical College & Civil Hospital, Gujarat University, graduating with first-class honours and receiving a Gold Medal in Urology. I further enhanced my clinical expertise through advanced study at the University of Edinburgh and an Andrology fellowship in New Delhi in 2025.
Beyond clinical practice, I remain actively involved in academic and professional development through publishing, faculty roles, conference presentations, chairing sessions, and international speaking engagements. I believe that true surgical leadership resides not only in technical skill but also in enhancing standards of care, sharing knowledge, and making a meaningful contribution to the future of the specialty.
